We offer in-store trade vouchers for all accepted items (good for 1 year)and/or pay cash* on the spot for hot fashion items.       *Cash is paid for the Hot item of the month only*

Good Things to Think about when to preparing your items to Sell or Trade:
 
We buy or trade sizes 0-20; XS-3X, Young Mens, Womens, Juniors.
Sorry we do not accept Kids/Baby or Mens

Examples of the brands we feature: Ann Taylor, Anthropologie, BCBG, Banana Republic, Caslon, Classiques, Gap, J. Crew, J. Jill, Ralph Lauren, Seven and so much more.

The garment types we accept are: (Season depending)
casual blazers, tops, sweaters, pants, jeans, skirts, shoes, dresses, coats, jewelry, belts, scarves, hats, gloves, purses and some vintage items.
 
Sorry, we don't buy any of the following:
furs, lingerie or undergarments, leather, wedding or bridesmaids' dresses or business suits sets.

Things to Think About:
Take a good look at each item you're considering to sell and ask yourself "Why am I interested in selling or trading this item?"

If the answer is "It's a beautiful garment and I love it, BUT"

    * it will never fit me again
    * it's just not my color
    * my lifestyle has changed and I'll never wear it again
    * it was an impulse buy and it just isn't "me"

You're on the right track. Bring 'em in!

If the answer is any of the following:

    * it's more than 3 years old (with the exception of vintage items)
    * it's worn out
    * it needs repair
    * it looks dated or out of style
    * it's not of good quality
    * I just want all this old stuff out of my closet

Shoppers would feel the same way you do about these things so it's unlikely that Trusty Threads will accept them. You might consider making a charitable donation of these garments...

Preparing Your Garments
Clean and fragrance-free sells the best! The cleanliness and appearance of your garments is crucial. All items must be freshly dry cleaned or laundered. They should not be on hangers, but neatly in a bag or box.

We urge you to check each garment in bright daylight for:

    * stains near collars, cuffs, underarms and crotch areas
    * missing/loose buttons or closures
    * torn/stained linings
    * faded or uneven colors
    * problems with zippers
    * snags, pills in knitwear
    * holes or tears, don't forget to check the seams

    * lint or pet hair
